Wave 2 of the Transformers Trading Card Game, "Rise of the Combiners" was released on March 1, 2019 and added new characters and battle cards, including the titular Combiners. This wave consisted of 46 character cards and 81 battle cards. The set also included a ready-to-play Devastator deck, released on March 29, 2019, which included exclusive cards for the Constructicons as well as a ready-to-play battle deck that included 4 exclusive battle cards. A second starter set was also released as part of this set on May 3, 2019. The Bumblebee vs. Megatron starter set contained 4 exclusive character cards and another ready-to-play battle deck that can be split between two players.
